On Wednesdays the sailing begins at 1PM and is informal. Be advised that during the summer months, Wednesday sailing is hit or miss.

Sunday sailing begins at 9:30AM with the first class (Solings) and continues until 3PM ( EC12s @11:30AM-Micro Magics@ 1PM) Each class will be off of the water a minimum of 15 minutes prior to the next classes starting time.

A minimum of three (3) boats are required for a race to be counted in the series scoring.

Sunday sailing is formal fleet racing with scoring maintained for eight months a year.Trophies are awarded in each class at the conclusion of each of two series, Fall and Winter/Spring. A trophy is awarded for every three qualified boats in each of our three classes.

Besides our club racing days our members compete in other areas of the country in events sanctioned by other AMYA sanctioned clubs. Our club is a member of the Florida EC 12  Association ( www.flaec12.comand hosts one of that groups seven two-day regattas in February. We also compete with our neighbors from the St Lucie Model Boat Club in a "Home and Away" series every year for possession of the prized "HAV A CHAW CUP" In 2005 we also hosted the Inaugural FLORIDA VICTORIA CLASS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.

We also are a member of and hosted the "All Florida Victor Soling One-Meter Championship" in 2010.  This Florida Association of Soling sailors has been competing annually for Top Club honors since 2001.

Membership is open to ANYONE over the age of eighteen years. Our annual dues are Twenty Dollars after an initiation fee of Twenty Five Dollars , which includes the first years dues. We have one formal dinner meeting each year to award trophies , install new officers and have some time together with spouses in a social atmosphere. Random meetings are held during the year for going over rules , tactics, building tips and event planning.
While membership in the  American Model Yacht Association is not YET required by our club, it is HIGHLY recommended that new members join this fine organization as the AMYA is the glue that holds our sport together. The association publishes a great magazine and also run a website that covers everything form A to Z about this sport. The annual dues for this organization is Twenty Five Dollars and includes the subscription to  Model Yachting magazine. They can be reached at  www.theamya.org

The PBGMYS operates in compliance to AMYA and ISAF rules and regulations and a copy of the clubs by-laws will be available for download at the bottom of the page.

We have a secretary/treasurer who not only tabulate our scoring, pay the bills, and keep us in compliance with insurance requirements but also monitors our membership and most of all our frequency assignments. If you intend to sail with us contact Al Stall before you buy a radio or come to the lake to sail. He will be able to tell you what channels are available for use. Contact Al at alstall@comcast.net
With most people using 2.4 GHZ systems now frequency conflicts are not as frequent.... but they still do happen... so be prepared!

If you would like to become a member, please contact Al Stall at his Email address.  He will arrange to get you an Application so you can enjoy our great venue with us.
